Butler County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Services Team (ERS) Return from Hazard, Kentucky Deployment
Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports on February 21, 2025 at 1630 hours the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Services Team (ERS) has returned from their deployment in Hazard, Kentucky.
The effects of the powerful storm that swept through Kentucky prompted flooding and inundated roads and homes, overwhelming their resources. The Butler County Sheriff’s Office ERS Team responded to aid their community to assist when and where requested.
Five (5) members of the Emergency Response Services Team worked collaboratively with the Northern Kentucky Incident Management Team operating various positions in incident management.
ERS personnel returned safely today, however, they are always at the ready in case further assistance is requested. This operation was funded by the Federal Government.
“Glad to see our team return safely. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this horrific weather event,” states Sheriff Jones.
