August 21, 2025

Multiple Agencies, Including Butler County Sheriff’s Office, Fairfield Police Department, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Conduct Enforcement Operation Resulting in Dozens of Illegal Aliens Taken into Custody and Transported to Butler County Jail

Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that, following a recent press release issued by the Fairfield Police Department, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Correctional Facility has received a total of thirty-nine (39) illegal aliens into custody.

On Saturday night, thirty-four (34) illegal aliens were apprehended during an enforcement action at a Fairfield nightclub. In separate traffic enforcement operations, an additional five (5) were taken into custody and transported to the Butler County Jail. All individuals were identified as being in the United States illegally and are currently being held pending further action by federal immigration authorities.

The Butler County Sheriff’s Office will continue to work in direct coordination with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and surrounding law enforcement agencies to aggressively identify, detain, and remove individuals unlawfully present in this country. Sheriff Jones emphasized that Butler County will not harbor or tolerate individuals violating U.S. immigration law.

Sheriff Jones stated:

“Come to this country legally. Many of these individuals have been here for years, living and working outside the law. There is absolutely no excuse. Butler County will not be a sanctuary. We will continue to enforce the law, protect our citizens, and hold accountable those who break it.”
