EMERGENCY RESPONSE SERVICES (ERS) UNIT RESPONDED TO HOMES AFFECTED BY WEATHER EVENT

Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports on March 30, 2025 the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Services Unit (ERS) responded to Linda Mobile Home Park, located on Trenton Road in St. Clair Township. ERS in correlation with the St. Clair Township Fire Department and New Miami Fire Department established a Command Post across the street at Greenhills Baptist Church, to manage the incident, monitoring injuries or damage that may have occurred during this severe weather event last evening.

An estimated twenty (20) mobile homes received damage with vinyl siding and roofs ripped off and mobile homes shifted off their foundation.

A door-to-door welfare check was conducted to ensure there were no individuals in need of medical treatment. No injuries were reported. Several families were displaced from their homes with many accepting aid from the American Red Cross.

Additionally, ERS patrolled townships throughout the Butler County community seeking out areas that suffered damaged from the adverse weather.

“Some of these storms come in fast and furious. It’s imperative that our highly trained Emergency Response Services Unit be prepared for whatever destruction or injuries occur from these weather events. We were ready,” states Sheriff Jones.
