Emergency Response Services Unit (ERS) Command Post Has Been Mobilized

EMERGENCY RESPONSE SERVICES UNIT (ERS) COMMAND POST HAS BEEN MOBILIZED/EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER (EOC) FULLY FUNCTIONAL FOR POSSIBLE WEATHER EVENT THIS EVENING 


Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports on April 2, 2025, due to the criticality of a possible severe weather event this evening, monitored by our Sheriff’s Office meteorologists, the Emergency Response Services Unit (ERS) members have been assembled. The ERS command post, centrally located in Butler County at 3470 Hamilton Middletown Road in Fairfield Township, is fully operational. The Command Post operations consist of ERS team members, dispatchers, and Information Technology (IT) personnel. This enables a rapid response to any perilous situation by an ERS team member. 


The ERS Unit will utilize their extensive training with lifesaving apparatuses to include technical rescue trucks furnished with an expansive inventory of rescue equipment. Multiple boats such as Jon boats and inflatable rescue boats will assist in high water rescue situations 

The Emergency Operations Center will be fully functional with meteorologist and personnel tending to in-coming calls to respond for emergency service @ 513-785-1300, for an emergency situation, 911. 


“With the potential of a turbulent weather system bearing down on our Butler County community this evening, we urge you to stay vigilant. Always hope for the best but be prepared for the worst,” states Sheriff Jones.
