Illegal Alien Arrested on Voyeurism Charges — Additional Individuals Detained by ICE

On June 11, 2025, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office received a report that Jose Juarez Vilches had been observed looking through a window at a 13-year-old female while making sexual gestures. It was further reported Vilches requested the juvenile share social media access to send sexually explicit videos. An investigation was initiated immediately by Sheriff’s Office Detectives.

As a result of that investigation, on June 18, 2025, warrants for Criminal Trespass (Misdemeanor 4th Degree) and Voyeurism (Misdemeanor 3rd Degree) were obtained through Middletown Municipal Court. Due to Vilches’ status as an undocumented immigrant, assistance from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was requested.

On June 24, 2025, information led detectives to South Thirteenth Street in the city of Hamilton, where Vilches was located. Upon the arrival of law enforcement, Vilches attempted to flee but was taken into custody shortly thereafter.

During the arrest, several individuals were found to be present at the residence. ICE agents working with detectives determined that four of those individuals were also in the United States illegally. They were taken into custody and transported to the Butler County Jail, where they are currently being held on federal ICE detainers.

Vilches was arrested on the original warrants and is now also charged with Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Official Business (both Misdemeanors 2nd Degree). He is being held at the Butler County Jail.

• Besar Maradiaga Rodriguez, Age 30 — Country of Origin: Honduras

• Ismael De Jesus Sosa Vargas, Age 24 — Country of Origin: Mexico

• Jose Juarez-Vilches, Age 38 — Country of Origin: Mexico

• Jesus Del Carmen Vega-Saldivar, Age 50 — Country of Origin: Mexico

All subjects remain in custody pending further action in coordination with federal immigration authorities.
