Liberty Center Theft Suspects Arrested

LIBERTY CENTER THEFT SUSPECTS ARRESTED! 

Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports the Butler County Sheriff’s Office arrested Taneka Brown, and Sinaj Williams, both 20 years old from Dayton, Ohio, for two different theft incidents from Liberty Center, Dick’s Sporting Goods. Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Butler County Jail for theft of Stanley Cups and Bogg Bags totaling over $2,000.00, each Felonies of the 5th degree.

The suspects were caught on video running and laughing as they fled the area after the theft on May 9, 2024. The second theft occurred on April 2, 2024; the same suspects again stole several Bogg Bags and Stanley Cups from the same Dick’s Sporting Goods totaling over $600.00.

The investigation is still ongoing with attempts to identify more suspects. 

Sheriff Jones states, “This is an on-going problem at Liberty Center and we will continue to prosecute every shoplifter we can.”
