St Clair Township, Single Vehicle Fatal Crash

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that on May 11, 2019, at approximately 9:45pm, Deputies along with Fire and EMS from St Clair Twp., Seven Mile, and Trenton, were dispatched to Hamilton Eaton Rd south of Spring Rd for a single vehicle crash.  Vehicle travelling north on Hamilton Eaton went off the road and down an embankment striking a tree.  A male passenger of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The driver and another passenger were transported to local hospitals for treatment of minor injuries.  The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, and will be released by the Butler County Coroner’s Office pending completion of an autopsy.

The Butler County Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene.  At this time the cause of the crash in under investigation.  Further information will be available from the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Office upon completion of the investigation.
