Stolen Vehicle Recovered From The Great Miami River

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that at approximately 6:23 pm, road patrol deputies and members of the Butler County Sheriff's Office Emergency Response Services (ERS) Unit responded to 320 Oxford State Road in Lemon Township. A resident reported that they observed a vehicle partially submerged in the Great Miami River, near the water treatment plant. ERS utilized special water response equipment to safely reach the vehicle and assist with the recovery. The vehicle was found to be an unoccupied blue Kia SUV which was stolen out of the City of Middletown.
