Task Force 1 (TF-1) Dive Team Assists The Ohio Department Of Natural Resources (ODNR) For Recovery Mission 

Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports, on Friday morning February 28, 2025, at approximately 0005 hours, the Task Force One (TF-1) Dive Team was requested by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) to respond to Caesar Creek Lake in Warren County to assist their agency for a recovery mission. 

It was reported that a male in his twenties went missing after a capsized Jon boat was recovered in Caesar Creek Lake. The ODNR utilized several sonar boats as well as ground and air resources prior to requesting TF-1. Several sonar targets were located and required further investigation by the TF-1 Dive Team. 

Multiple dive team members from the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Services (ERS) Unit responded to assist as part of TF-1. 

Working tirelessly, to bring closure to the victim’s family, on Saturday March 1st the victim’s body was recovered at a depth of approximately thirty (30) feet. TF-1 divers were able to make the recovery at 2030 hours Saturday evening. 

“Working jointly with other agencies is momentous in attaining a goal of rescue or recovery. Our hearts and prayers go out to the victim’s family,” states Sheriff Jones
