Truck struck by train in St. Clair Township

Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports on March 26, 2024, at approximately 1:23 p.m. Deputies along with the St. Clair Township Fire Department and Life Squad were dispatched to the 4200 block of Trenton Road and Riverside Road. in St. Clair Twp. for an accident involving a truck and train. 

Preliminary investigations indicate that a vehicle was traveling West on Trenton Road and failed to yield to an oncoming Southbound train. The passenger was ground transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. 

This accident remains under investigation by both the Sheriff’s office and CSX Railroad Operations.
