TWO OF BUTLER COUNTY’S MOST WANTED SEX OFFENDERS CAPTURED

For Immediate Release …. August 15, 2025

TWO OF BUTLER COUNTY’S MOST WANTED SEX OFFENDERS CAPTURED

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones announced today that two of Butler County’s Most Wanted Sex Offenders have been taken into custody following coordinated enforcement operations involving multiple specialized units.

On Monday, August 11, 2025, an anonymous tip led investigators to the location of Michael Latimore, age 58, of Middletown, Ohio. Latimore was originally convicted in 2014 of Voyeurism involving a fourteen (14) year-old child. He was wanted for Failure to Verify Current Residence (Felony 4) in violation of Ohio’s Sex Offender Registration and Notification (SORN) requirements. At approximately 3:00 p.m., Butler County Sheriff’s Office Detectives, working in coordination with SORN Deputies, responded to Latimore’s place of employment and arrested him without incident.

On Thursday, August 14, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Michael Ledford was apprehended at his residence on Hamilton Eaton Road in Milford Township. Ledford was originally convicted of Gross Sexual Imposition involving a child under the age of ten (10). He had been identified as one of Butler County’s Most Wanted Sex Offenders. Butler County Sheriff’s Deputies, working alongside the Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics Task Force (B.U.R.N.), executed a court-authorized search warrant at the property, resulting in Ledford’s arrest.

Ledford was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants, including:

• Failure to Verify Current Residence – Felony 4

• Failure to Appear – Possessing Drug Abuse Instruments – Misdemeanor 1

• Failure to Appear – Non-Support – Misdemeanor 1

• Obstructing Official Business – two counts, Misdemeanor 2

“There’s a timeless saying — you can run, but you can’t hide. Not turning yourself in only delays the inevitable,” states Sheriff Jones
